Cross-country skiing in Tyrol

The trail network around the Truyenhof comprises 120 km and extends from Kaunertal to Pfunds, through to Nauders and Swiss Engadine. The romantic altitude trails are especially delightful, including the Tscheyloipe in Pfunds, the Hubertusloipe in Kaunergrat Nature Park and the altitude trail in Langtaufers.

The longest border trail is the 25 km ‘Engadiner Loipe’, which proceeds from Martinsbruck on the Swiss border to Scuol in Engadine – an attractive sporty challenge for experts!

Tobogganing with a huge selection of toboggan runs in Ried and the surrounding area.

An informal, cosy evening with nice people – on foot and kitted out with torches, it takes around half an hour to get up to Rieder Rodelhütte. Once you get there, you can warm up with a hot tea, mulled wine or schnapps, before speeding down into the valley in a toboggan.

Ice-skating & curling in Ried

On the outskirts of Ried, at the car park of the municipality of ried you will find the quietly situated ice rink for young and old to let off steam.

Right next to it is the municipality of ried, here you can get warming drinks and of course different food, so that you can do the rounds at the ice rink strengthened again. The skate rental is also there. Furthermore, there is a separate area at the skating rink where you can prove yourself in curling.

For those who want to have it a little quieter, there is a nice walk around the bathing lake which is right next door. Here you will find winter idyll, peace and quiet, and right next to it there is the Seerestaurant for a break.

Ski tours around the Truyenhof

The Alpine location makes the region around the Truyenhof perfectly suited to ski tours in the Tyrol mountains. A wide selection of routes take you comfortably through the natural surroundings, up impressive mountain summits and to challenging destinations at 3000 metres. For those of you would like to be lead by local guides to the loveliest places in the region, Alpincenter Dreiländereck is the place to head for. Along with advice about suitable equipment, there are regular guided tours.
